Michael Jackson tribute concert
From Jackopedia
The Michael Jackson tribute concert is a planned music concert that will take place in September 2009.[1] The concert will be a tribute to the American entertainer Michael Jackson, who died on 25 June 2009 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The concert will feature performances from leading singers including Madonna and Justin Timberlake. According to one of the tour organisers from AEG, it will replicate the cancelled This Is It concerts. The venue for the concert has not yet been decided.
Timberlake was initially cautious about performing in the show as he was worried it would be detrimental to his career. He explained "Like anyone else in the world I'm his biggest fan. I just feel like if there would be any pretension, it would not be good. That's my worry. I understand tributing' somebody who is so influential to every artist of our generation. It would have to be done properly."[2]
